"AS BOTH A SURVIVOR of domestic violence in childhood and adulthood, and a therapist who has worked with victims globally, I found myself asking how to begin this chapter in a way that does justice to the countless survivors who are not seen, heard, or supported. 

The catastrophic experiences of those affected, and the far-reaching impact of all forms of domestic abuse remain widely misunderstood, often overlooked, and even results in many women being misdiagnosed with personality disorders when, in fact, they are deeply traumatised.
